Abstract

This study examines whether nutrition education can improve sports nutrition knowledge, dietary intake, and body composition among female athletes. The researchers evaluated a nutrition education program involving female handball players and measured changes in nutrition knowledge, dietary intake, Mediterranean diet adherence, and body composition. The study found that nutrition knowledge improved following the educational intervention, although improvements in knowledge did not necessarily result in significant changes in dietary intake or body composition.

Description

A study exploring how nutrition education can improve athletes' understanding of nutrition and whether increased knowledge leads to changes in eating habits and body composition.
